Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reportedly says in a new documentary about her life that she is “the most investigated innocent person in America.”
The Daily Mail obtained an advance viewing of Clinton’s upcoming Hulu documentary about her life. According to the newspaper, Clinton said “there was no law against it” in regard to how she used her emails. She also claimed criticisms of how she handled Benghazi amounted to a “character assault.”
Clinton is unequivocally wrong in claiming there is no law against government administrators using a private server to conduct official business. In fact, a State Department audit of the former Secretary’s use of her server concluded she violated federal records rules through her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
More in the preliminary cut of the documentary indicates Clinton continues to fail in her "effort" to come to grips with the real reason she lost to Trump.
“Going all the way back to the Whitewater days,” Clinton asserted. “I’ve never understood this and I will go to my grave not understanding it. All these things get disproved, but the press, and I’m talking about the major press, they always bite… And I don’t know why.”
To be clear, an investigation by one’s cronies and, in some cases, co-conspirators (e.g., disgraced FBI Director James Comey) does not constitute “disproof.” It only raises more questions. Those questions hang over an electorate like a dark cloud, and that is one of the things that happened to Hillary on November 8, 2016.
Right before the election, a Gallup poll revealed that 52 percent of respondents thought the media favored Clinton. Only 8 percent thought the media favored Trump. That does not keep Clinton from playing the victim for all she’s worth, however.
In the documentary, Clinton is also heard saying, “I am the most investigated innocent person in America …. This is not just politics, this is deep cultural stuff.” She also denies that foreign governments or other entities hacked into her server and likely got a gold mine of classified information from it.
But the FBI knew with certainty in 2016 that hostile actors had in fact gained access to classified information via Clinton’s emails. According to the inspector general, a special review of the Clinton email investigation in 2017 by the office to the FBI’s Inspection Division confirmed that "classified information was improperly stored and transmitted on Clinton’s email server, and classified information was compromised by unauthorized individuals."
The obvious conclusion here is that Hillary Clinton will “go to her grave,” as she put it, knowing the truth but refusing to acknowledge it. She will maintain that attitude even if she is convicted in the investigation U.S. Attorney John Durham of the Connecticut District of the Steele dossier, it’s financial source and how it was allowed to scam the American people.
