This essay has been credited to Steve Harvey and others, but they all deny it is theirs. They didn’t write it. Neither did I. None of that matters.
Regardless, it is the perfect expression of why Donald J. Trump deserves reelection. It illustrates why we must assure that no Democrat ever occupies the White House again. It expresses the reasons their party should never be given a majority in either house ever again.
Imagine you've been on vacation for two weeks. You come home and your basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean raccoons have overtaken your basement. You want them gone immediately.
You call the city, the county, the Department of Conservation, plus four different exterminators and critter removal services. No one wants the job. Too dangerous, they say. Too outside the parameters of what we do, they say.
Then you find one guy who guarantees he can get rid of them. He makes no excuses, he answers the phone on the first ring, and he says they’ll be gone shortly after he gets there.
So you hire him. You don't care if the guy swears, you don't care how many times the guy has been married, you don't care if he has plumber's crack.
All you want is those damn raccoons gone!
You want your problem fixed? He's the guy, he's the best! He’s the only one willing to take on the job from a different angle, using a different approach.
That is exactly why we want Trump: Yes, he can be a bit of a jerk. Yes, he's an egomaniac. So what? We don't care!
The country is a mess because politicians suck, Republicans and Democrats are two-faced and gutless. Criminals, anarchists and illegals are everywhere. We want it all fixed! Period! We don't care that Trump is crude, we don't care that he insults people, we don't care that he's been married three times.
We don't care that he fights with the media. We don’t think they have much of a journalistic ethic either. We don't care that he doesn't know the name of some Muslim terrorist. This country became weak and bankrupt, our enemies were making a mockery of us to the rest of the world. We are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims where every Tom, Ricardo, and Hasid is a special group with special rights.

It has come to a point that we don't even recognize the country where we were born and raised. We just want it all fixed! Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want.
We're sick of politicians, sick of the Democrat and Republican parties. We are sick of patronage, bribery, lobbyists and the military-industrial complex. We just want this thing fixed. Trump may not be a saint, but the 2016 election wasn't about electing a pope.
We voted for a man who doesn't have lobbyist money holding him back, or a man who doesn't have political correctness restraining him. We all know that he has been very successful and that he’s a good negotiator. He has built a real estate empire, which is not an easy thing to do, given all the red tape, hoops to jump through and bribes to pay to criminally corrupted unions.
He's not a politician, not a cowardly cog in the machine. He says he'll fix it. We believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong, or challenged and called a liar. We don't care if the guy has bad hair. If that’s really how you pick a president, we’d like to talk to you about your priorities.
The bottom line is, we just want those raccoons gone, out of our house, now!

Like us, thousands of people who haven't voted in 25 years are getting involved, meaning the polls are obviously wrong. It has been that long since they had anyone they could trust.
Donald J. Trump has proven over the last 3+ years he is that man. He has kept every promise he has made and has improved every aspect of the economy, the security of this country and the safety of this nation. That is indisputable (though many will try to dispute it).
The more people get this message, the more that will understand why Trump was elected in the first place and why he needs four more years. The raccoons have got to go!
